Rev Porter is a super and super great wedding officiant. He is kind, he is thoughtful. He is patient. He took time to officiate the wedding, not just as a regular wedding officiant, but as an invested father who understood the true meaning of the life long commitment we were making. It was like my dad officiating my wedding, speaking life into it, personalizing the statements. He brought in his entire virtue in conducting the wedding. From the manner he conducted the wedding, to supporting us through the process, he is very committed to doing this. Couple of things he did that I remember: 1. He specifically called me to ask what is the color of my suit as he wants to blend in. Just wow. 2. He held the rings, blessed them, asked the entire congregation to bless them. 3. He made us make personal vows. 4. He made sure we started and finished on time, but did so much within. He even outdid himself. The last time I counted, about five persons from my guests commended him personally after the wedding and exchange of vows. Most importantly, I love how be brought life and love to our wedding. I am so grateful for how he owned our wedding, came not just as an officiant but as someone who was entirely invested in us. I recommend him without any second thoughts nor reservations.

Rabbi Friedman is great! When looking for an officiant, he was the first Rabbi we met with, and after meeting with him we didn't even need to meet with anyone else. You can tell he truly cares and really wants to make the ceremony personal for you. He took the time to get to know us, and my favorite part - he had my husband and I write a couple paragraphs about the other and he read them during the ceremony. It was beautiful.
