I started professionally as a photographer at almost 50 years old. I wanted to experience things before I tried to capture them. I consider that I am different thanmost other photographers because I have lived a life rich in experience, and did not have a camera interfearing with my experience. I learned to see the broader image, beyond the frame. So when I take a shot, and take it, there is a thought or concept of some kind tied to it before the shutter even closes.
