I’m Mary Dares, owner of West and Spring Photography. I’m an LGBTQ+ small intimate wedding and portrait photographer based out of Boston. I am the one behind the camera. The one guiding you every step of the way, and giving you direction, but mostly I’m there to capture your love and to tell your story. Essentially it’s all about you… your style, your vision. It’s the in-betweens, the messy, the bursts of laughter, the tears…that’s the stuff that I have a true love for.

We are a family business, insured and certified for many services. My son and I provide photography, aerial photography and mobile Notary Services. My daughter is currently in cosmetology school and will graduate in mid-july as an estitician and hair stylist. We could provide all your needs for a photoshoot. Pictures, hair, make-up and nails. We love what we do and are happy to help you with any and all your needs.

I love capturing images that highlights the beauty & personality of each person/couple/or venue I work with. Each session is different, but making it a fun & enjoyable experience is something I take pride in. I truly love what I do, which I feel is evident through my images.

I aspire to create the film that tells your story: the special bond you have with your partner, the way you two smile at each other, and the inside jokes you have are unlike any other couple. A wedding filmmaker at heart capturing your special moment with your partner. I also film corporate events, government functions, and music concerts.
