Drew S. says, "I’m sitting here right now trying to think about how to write a review that recaps the best day of my life. We had comments from friends and family about how great the day was. I was expecting compliments about the food, drinks, the venue, maybe the band. However, one theme that was consistent was everyone loved our ceremony and further more the man that performed our ceremony. Those that asked if he was family, or how long he’s been a close friend, were shocked to find out we literally met him in person that very day. That being said, our journey to finding the perfect officiant began approximately 6 months prior. If you’re anything like us, there wasn’t one specific person in the family or friend group we could agree on to perform our wedding ceremony, so it only made sense to go out and find a professional. We found Robert on Fash and after one zoom call we knew he had the right vibe and eloquence to deliver a ceremony that would make us happy. Little did we know, we would be more than happy, we would end up thrilled. Fast forward a little bit, and the wife and I decided to explore pre-marital counseling as we saw it was a service Robert offered. We not particularly religious, but we believed making the decision to dedicate yourself to another should not be entered into on a whim. I must say, it was one of the best decisions to take the counseling. It helped strengthen our relationship for the better, and it built a foundation, friendship, and bond with Robert who would soon be standing in front of all of our friends and family and performing our ceremony. Fast forward to the actual day, and Robert was the first one to arrive to the venue. He got to spend some time with the boys before the ceremony and his gentle kind spirit helped to calm the nerves while still rallying the troops. He helped clarify and smooth the directions the venue had from the rehearsal. He helped both me and my wife have stress free ceremony. He excuted the script we provided with ease. He made family laugh with his charm. He even added a special, thoughtful, and meaningful section to the ceremony that touched both of us and made the ceremony just feel that much more authentic. Through and through he proved that he was a true professional. I know it is hard to trust a wedding officiant you find online, but I cannot recommend Robert enough. I can promise you will not regret the decision to have Robert perform your wedding for you." Read more

Your Wedding Videography questions, answered

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Fash.

What is the average cost of a wedding videographer near me?

A wedding videographer costs $1,400 to $3,600 on average. Wedding videography prices range from $1,000 to $12,000, depending on the package type, number of hours, location, and add-ons selected.

When should I hire a wedding videographer?

Hire your wedding videographer at least 8 months before your wedding date, or up to 12 months in advance for weddings during the peak season.

Do you tip a wedding videographer?

Tipping a wedding videographer is not required if the videographer owns the business. Consider tipping if the videographer works for a larger video company or exceeds your expectations. Tip $50 to $100 to the lead videographer and $50 to $75 for the assistant or second shooter.

How much do wedding videographers make?

Wedding videographers make $50,000 to $100,000 per year on average, depending on location and experience. Top in-demand videographers make $100,000 to $128,000 per year.

How do I find wedding videographers near me?

Start by searching our list of wedding videographers, then compare reviews and costs. After finding and contacting potential services:

  • Decide which video style you like best and look for videographers whose style closely matches it.
  • Determine which end products you want, including highlight films, documentary films, and add-ons.
  • Ask for referrals from friends, family, your wedding planner, the venue, and other wedding vendors.
  • Read their reviews on Fash and Google.
  • Interview your favorite videographers and discuss your ideas and vision.
  • Ask the videographer about their pre-wedding, wedding day, and post-wedding process.
  • Get a detailed contract in writing that breaks down everything included in your package, the payment plan, and the refund and cancellation policy.
  • Discuss the video usage rights to confirm how you and the videographer can use the footage. Videographers often retain the copyright, giving them the right to use the videos for marketing and social media.

After asking questions and verifying their credentials, hire the videographer in your area.

What questions to ask wedding videographers?

Ask them the following questions when hiring a wedding videographer:

  • How would you describe your videography style and approach?
  • Do you have our wedding date available?
  • How long have you been filming weddings?
  • How many weddings have you filmed?
  • How many weddings do you film per year?
  • Can we see a finished wedding video you created?
  • What packages do you offer, and how much do they cost?
  • How do you choose the music for the film? Can we choose the music?
  • When will we receive our finished, edited wedding video?
  • What format will you deliver our video in?
  • Will we own the rights to the video? Are there any sharing or use restrictions?
  • Have you shot at our venue before?
  • Can you describe your editing process? Do we get any input into the final product?
  • Will you use a microphone to capture our voices during the ceremony? Will it be wired or wireless?
  • How many videographers and assistants does the package include?
  • Do you charge a travel fee? What does it cover?
  • How much do you require on deposit? What is your payment schedule?
  • What is your refund or cancellation policy?
  • Do you have liability insurance? What does it cover?
  • Do you carry backup videography equipment?
  • What happens if an emergency comes up and you can’t be present on our wedding day?
  • Will you be sharing our wedding videos on your website or social media?
  • Have you worked with our photographer before?

Suzanne M.
I've never felt comfortable in front of a camera. It makes me really nervous and anxious. I found Appture when I was looking for someone to make a photo montage for me to use as an advertisement for my small business and I knew immediately when I talked with Dan Elliott that I had found the right place. He understood exactly what I wanted and showed me several projects he had already done so we could talk through my vision. Not only did he help me think about wardrobe so I could put together my looks before the shoot, but while I was on set he provided really good direction and made me feel comfortable enough to actually look like myself. The resulting images were amazing--so much better than anything I could have done myself or that I've seen other people post. I highly recommend Appture Media to anyone who needs an expert who can provide painless, professional results.

Robert listened to what we wanted out of our special day and was very professional. He did not try to force anything on us that we didn't want, which meant the world to us. We wanted a simple, straight to the point ceremony and that is what he delivered. We had the BEST service. I would not have changed a single thing. We highly recommend Robert as your wedding officiant.
