Life has a funny way of redirecting us. After years in education policy and nonprofit leadership — most recently as a state director — my role was dissolved due to funding cuts. At first, I panicked. My career was my identity. But in that pause, I returned to something that’s always grounded me: cooking. What started as therapy became a small business. And what began in a boardroom is now finding new life in a kitchen. So here I am, starting again — consulting for mission-driven orgs by day, building my food brand by night. This page is now a space for healing. storytelling, and soul food. I co-own a brick and mortar BBQ Soul Food restaurant
